Instructional Focus

Norrback Avenue School's focus on literacy is a school wide, collaborative effort to improve our students' ability to read, understand, and discuss a wide range of literary genre and informational texts. Best practices will be developed through the implementation of Wilson Fundations, the Benchmark Assessment, and an investigation of "Genre Studies" in alignment with the English Language Arts and Literacy Curriculum Framework. Student improvement will be measured by State and District assessments.
